Phinca Hapa Blanco 2018

Tasting: This wine from Bodegas Bhilar falls under the Struggling Vines label, led primarily by Melanie Hickman, and named after their late four-legged friend Hapa. Bhilar’s vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically with Demeter certification upcoming. Fermented on skins, producing an orange wine of exceptional complexity. On the nose it has aromas of quince, peach and honey along with delicious balsamic notes. On the palate it is dense and very mineral. It has structure, good acidity and fantastic length.
