Telescópico Cariñena 2016

Tasting: From ‘garage winemakers’ Bodegas Frontonio in the north of Aragón, small productions from old vines, grown organically. Grown at 1030 metres above sea level in small mountain vineyards gives this wine exceptional elegance and freshness. Cariñena, not normally seen as a monovarietal due to its high levels of tannin and acidity, is tamed due to the high altitude and the careful care given in its cultivation. A wine of real interest, upper medium bodied, red cherries, wild forest berries, herbs, a touch of smoke and an intriguing graphite minerality present through the exceptional length.
