Tomeu’s goal with Ca’n Verdura, from the outset has been to revive the island’s indigenous varieties moll (also known as premsall blanc), mantonegro and callet which have been losing ground to foreign grapes such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot. ​

Launching their first wine in

2011 from mantonegro, the L’Origen, just 700 bottles were produced. Opening their own operation in an old garage in 2012 the production - still extremely small - was expanded with their first white, and then further expanded with rose in 2013. 

Using organic viticulture and minimal additions in the winery Tomeu’s wines are the true essence of Mallorca.
