Colección 125 Reserva 2012

Tasting: From one of the oldest wine dynasties in Spain, the Chivite family, making wines since 1647 in Navarra. The fruit from this wine comes from a single vineyard Legardeta, it is grown at the northernmost limit for Tempranillo. A wine built to age, the 2012 is showing dense, rich forest berry notes, with developing cedar, cigar box and forest floor notes. Wonderful layers of complexity are evident, with delicately nuanced spices and dried flowers.
