Tasting: Tomeu Llabrés' Ca'n Verdura project aims to reinvigorate plantings of indigenous Mallorcan varieties that have lost ground on the island to French varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This textural and charming rosado is made from Mallorcan native grape Mantonegro, herb accented red berries and apricot skin on the nose, the palate, all fresh strawberries and light cashew, with graphite minerality and a slight note of peach kernel and salinity.
