Vino de Pago (La Mancha) Recently awarded the Gran Bacchus de Oro award for most outstanding wine in Europe. 12-months in French oak. On the nose it reveals notes of berry, liquorice and also balsamic notes. On the palate mouth the attack is fresh and smooth, later appearing the concentration of ripe tannins which derives in a long and full finish. Graphite, the main mineral characteristic in Petit Verdot, is present all the way through.

Blackcurrant and cherry fruit, bitter chocolate, liquorice, vanilla and herby notes, it is very generous indeed. The Monastrell (Mourvèdre) adds the seductive, dark smoky element which is so prominent across the palate. The acidity is wellintegrated, and the tannins are grippy but long and fine.

A sweet passage that is fruity with nuanced notes from its ageing that are very pleasant. Delicate balsamic notes, lite toasted woods, well-integrated tannins that are flavorful and semi-sweet. There is very-well balanced acidity and everything is well integrated. This is a very well-structured wine, and if you love barrel-aged Mencia you'll love Joaquin's Tinto.
100% Sousón. Single varietal from selected Sousón grapes, aged for 8 months in oak barrels and bottled for 4-months. Clean aromatics with good intensity. Fragrant red fruits of redcurrants, toasts, cloves, caramels, chocolates, and lite balsamic notes. This wine has a surprising amount of peach sensations for a red wine, and everything is very well assembled. Velvety palate with appropriate astringency and everything is very well-balanced. This varietal has a lot of personality.
PIRITA TINTO CRIANZA 2008 (Natural Wine) D.O. Arribes del Duero 70% Juan Garcia, with much of the rest a mixture of Rufete, Bruñal, Tempranillo and Tinta Madrid. All the grapes were destemmed. No cultured yeasts added. About a third was matured in tank & the rest spent 11 months in new and second-use French barriques, followed by 6 months in tank. Silky entrance that is fresh, enveloping, and well-balanced.

Sharp and airy in the palate with very good acidity. Lightweight tannins, easy but thick, which give it a more smoky taste in the mouth. Overall it is tasty and fruity, with a discerning glimpse of raw wine material. It has the Atlantic soil and character. It has a ripe and spicy finish thanks to its typicality.

The fruit shows amazingly fresh, intense and flavorful, all while retaining a degree of subtlety and grace. Very mineral and a touch floral as well, and this beauty is what a Ribera Sacra wine is all about, and should serve a wonderful introduction to the fantastic wines of this quickly emerging from this region.

This vintage is black, extracted and super ripe, but it maintains a fine level of balance and more than adequate freshness. Flavors of coconut, vanilla and chocolate announce generous new oak, as does mocha and espresso on the finish. Heady but ready; ageable for another 5-8 years.

This wine has a deep sour cherry red colour with ruby glints, showing its potential & longevity. On the nose it is very complex with deep spicy balsamic aromas integrated with varietal fruit and hints of blackberries. It is lively & full on the palate, very well balanced with a remarkably long finish

Powerful, wide, tasty, sweet and meaty mid palate with a high presence of the notes of fruit along with some floral notes and coffee. Tannins are sweet. Very good acidity & long finish
